Lacey Everett Psy.D.

Picture
Lacey Everett (she/her) is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology who graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She has provided therapy in a multitude of settings, including parent-child work in preschools, middle schools, and high schools, as well as working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Additionally, Lacey gained valuable knowledge working as a therapist in primary care medical doctors' offices, where she provided therapy to each unique patient the medical doctor saw and worked one-on-one with a pediatrician specializing in pediatrics physical and behavioral health.

Prior to getting her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Lacey initially went to college after receiving a scholarship to study dance at the California Institute of the Arts. She then endured a career as a professional dancer for several years. After those endeavors, Lacey attended Chapman University in Orange County, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (focusing on the mind-body connection). She later traveled through numerous countries such as Colombia, Europe, Mexico, and Peru to work with medical doctors in underserved mountain communities to provide health resources.

With her focus on delivering evidence-based, multiculturally informed treatments, Lacey has provided psychotherapy to a wide range of populations, such as crisis centers with severe diagnoses, marginalized, underprivileged communities, and communities of high socioeconomic status. Through all of Lacey’s experience, she has found a lifetime passion for working with kids. She believes that adults can learn a lot from children's mindful ways of living and that through helping our kids, we are helping future generations, decreasing intergenerational transmissions of trauma, and finding that praise is the answer!

Along with her zest for life, she is passionate about PCIT and excited about working under Dr. Ian Schere as a psychological associate.
